Igor Stimac set to be India's new football coach

Igor Stimac, 51, was an influential member of Croatia’s famous Golden Generation that won the bronze medal at the 1998 World Cup in France, and was the only coach from among the 4 shortlisted to appear in person for his interview before the technical committee. Stimac will take charge of the team almost immediately with the King’s Cup in Thailand his first assignment.
